Grounded cognition theory suggests that the brain reacts to food images almost as if the person were eating them. Researchers from Aarhus University found that repeatedly viewing the same food image can reduce the desire to eat it, which may help curb appetite and potentially aid in weight loss. This effect is based on the idea that visual exposure alone can create a feeling of satiety, especially in an era where food images are everywhere on social media. The effect seems to depend on the number of repetitions, not on variations in color or flavor. example 30 repeatitions.
