Parkinson's, Vitamin B, and Gut Microbiota


A Japanese study published in May 2024 is transforming our understanding of Parkinson's disease. Scientists from Nagoya University have highlighted the crucial role played by the gut microbiota in the development of this condition. Their discovery suggests that simple B vitamin supplementation could help some patients, opening up new therapeutic avenues for a disease whose current treatments primarily aim to slow progression and relieve symptoms.
