L'huile essentielle d'encens a fait l'objet de nombreuses études pré-cliniques démontrant son activité antitumorale, utilisée seule ou en complément de chimiothérapie.
Il n'y a cependant pas encore d'application thérapeutique aujourd'hui pour utiliser l'HE d'encens comme anti cancéreux. Cependant, ces données confortent l'intérêt de cette huile essentielle en cancérologie comme huile de soutien physique et psychologique.
